Global Spectrum joins the New Sports Revolution

COLUMBUS, OH -- Global Spectrum, a leader in managing public assembly facilities throughout North America, is joining Revolution Enterprises LLC as a strategic partner, it was jointly announced today by Revolution Chief Executive Officer Dave Whinham and Global Spectrum Chief Operating Officer John Page.
The agreement will allow Revolution, a newly formed sports entertainment company that offers sensibly-priced franchises to a new breed of professional sports and entertainment operators, to place numerous sports and entertainment products within venues managed by Global Spectrum, a subsidiary of international sports and entertainment providers Comcast-Spectacor.
Additionally, Global Spectrum intends to provide promotional support and assistance in placing individual events, such as concerts and other types of programming.

Revolution offers professional sports and entertainment ownership to a new breed of professional sports and entertainment operators. These franchisees may offer an assortment of Revolution products to their local markets, including Revolution Football, Revolution Lacrosse, Revolution Boxing, and Revolution Hockey, along with other Revolution Entertainment properties such as concerts, action sports events, and other types of programming, thus creating local entertainment companies focused on producing an outstanding fan experience while operating within viable financial models.
Revolution Football and Lacrosse will both begin play in 2009. Local franchisees will begin presenting Revolution concert and boxing products as early as the spring of 2008.
